Barn before any renovation. It had been neglected completely for at least 5 years. Roof failure started approx 10-15 years before this picture.
The day we purchased the place the roof came off. Cupolas and lightning rods were saved, but too damaged to be re-installed at this time.
 More roof tear-offs
D'oh, wasn't a solid deck like we thought, Decra (our shingles) requires a solid deck.. More money for a solid surface
 Beginning of the roofing felt.
This is me working on the harness shed roof. The only part of the barn roof I worked on.
Completed barn roof. This was taken the spring on the following year.
Basement of the barn before we started anything
Basement of the barn during reconstruction of the flooring...
Me standing in the doorway before we bought the place....
 Look at the wet/damaged floor..
The water is so bad it's running down the walls.. :(
During roof reconstruction, the barn was used for storage...
the entrance to the "new" part of the barn. So rotten you can not walk there. Note the trap door in the floor...
Those boards on the floor indicate where the joists are to keep from falling through!
Closer picture of the joint between the new and old barn. Note this rotted out beam is supposedly holding up part of the barn!
The beam has been replaced! New joists are going in as well...
Lots of scrap on the floor, but you can start to see the new joists after things have been reframed...
Materials for the rest of the flooring. I have to shiplap all of the 1x8's myself.
new flooring in the front and center section of the barn! Center section needs 2x10's on top to be completed..
(The steal panel is due to a roof leak...)
Front of the barn before it was re-done. Note, the floor on the left of the picture is so rotten you can't walk anywhere except on the pallet.
The pallet is nearly in the same position as the previous picture. All new joists!
Me starting to put down the first pieces of the new flooring in the barn...
View of the new floor in the front on the barn...
This is a picture from inside of the "new" part of the barn, of a "hole" in the back. Very very rotten..
More pictures.. there is a support post missing of the left side of the hole.
Note, that is a corner support behind the siding, that is no longer supporting anything!
Another picture of the damage from outside as they were working on the roof.
The floor was cut-out and reframed to make a solid platform to rebuild the wall. The beam on the outside where the joists attach was replaced as well using existing barn material.
Note the new main support beam has been replaced in this picture. Also a temporary column has been installed to jack-up the roof slightly in preparation for a new support beam.
